Our condolences to Jan and their family. I worked with Ian at both GFS and Canada Packers. It was in those early days when his Uncle Don would council us that I really got to know Ian. He was my supervisor for a couple of years, and it was a fun, learning time. He was a great person, full of fun and a big laugh. As the old saying goes he could sell refrigerators at the North Pole. Rest In Peace “Big Guy”.

It was a privilege to work with Ian. He was someone who was always willing to listen and give advice when asked. I'll always remember his classic phrases and love of country music. You will be missed by many, Ian. Hugs to Jan and family (Eddie, too!)
I was fortunate to work with Ian since the days of Canada Packers. He was a mentor to me as he was for many. I am grateful for his friendship and I will always remember the laughter.

God Bless. I will miss you.
A great man, that will be missed by many. I met Ian in 1988 at my first sales meeting with Canada Packers and worked with him up to his retirement from GFS, and I can say with certainty he was one of kind. He always portrayed a tough exterior but we all knew he had a kind heart that was shown through his relationships & friendships and the time he took to give young sales folks his advice. He shared many great stories over the years and was quick to participate in a practical joke. Ian, you will be dearly missed all your old teammates, thanks for the great memories.
My deepest condolences. Ian was a wonderful man and had such a great influence over the people he worked with. I had the pleasure of being his customer service rep when I started with GFS. Ian always pushed me out of my comfort zone to make me better each day. I still use many of his sayings and my favorite will always be 'there is no such thing as a problem only an opportunity'
Ian will certainly be missed.
Great man with a strong personality! So sorry for your loss
To Jan, Jeremy, Blaire and Eddie,
I am so sorry to hear about Ian. I just do not have the words.... Ian was always very welcoming and friendly to me. I learned quite a bit from Ian about business, football and cooking. He was the best cook in the world! Everything that I have learned from Ian, I will cherish. I know how much he loved Eddie, and I'm still sorry I broke his dog (inside joke) Ian, you will be missed very much
Ian had influences on so many people, hold onto the good memories and cherish the memories that were created with him.
We love you Grandpa and will miss you so much!
Love Max and Jack
